Bio
“Every day bands come crawling out from the belly of the musical beast, mere foundlings struggling to survive on the scene. Sometime during their conception Dead Letter Circus gave the finger to infancy and emerged a living, breathing and fully formed act geared up to put bullets into the scene that spawned them. An incredible guns out, no holds barred extravaganza from four twisted ringmasters of alternative rock. Epic, intangible, enigmatic and downright electrifying…this is the band to watch in 2007. “

A very wise man, (or was it Kevin Costner?), once said 'If you build it, they will come', and the hard working and much loved darlings of the Brisbane alternative scene, Dead Letter Circus, have taken this to heart: they have built success from great musicianship which blends modern rock tones, delirious delay soaked guitars and all encompassing melodies reminiscent of Mars Volta one moment to psychotic head thrashing indulgence the next, a heap of mischievous enthusiasm, and a touring schedule that has seen them skip from one side of the country to the other faster than Britney can skip out of rehab, has consequently left Dead Letter Circus’s audiences with no choice but to come along a for great ride.
Since their meagre beginnings back in 2005, they have forged ahead, erecting monuments out of the plenitude of accolades they have received in their wake, and picking up quite an posse of heavyweight accomplices along the way - from touring with local heroes Butterfly Effect and Karnivool to finding a devotee in producer extraordinaire Forrester Savell (Karnivool, Helmet, Full Scale) who was so impressed he searched them out to work with the band on their debut self titled EP which is set to be released 12th May through “3massive Records/MGM.
Dead Letter Circus will continue defy category and cliché while always expanding their fan base and delivering their music to a multitude of thirsty listeners. No need to keep an eye out for these guys, with an explosive and fresh live performance they will find you!
